During its trip to Paris, Disciples Escoffier China Delegation was invited to attend a dinner on the river Seine with a tour of the magnificent Paris by night on the Pavilion Seine, another jewel from the Potel et Chabot asset. We were welcomed aboard with Champagne, bites and nibbles. The atmosphere was radiant as everyone who joined was in a dream state. Paris, the lovers place for a lot of people, and we were there cruising around on the second deck, looking at the rich history with its beautiful monument. The Grande Dame (The Eiffel Tower) was waiting for us to depart before being entertained with sumptuous food, including fresh oyster, an amazing array of cheese, where we delightfully indulge, as well as Parma ham, until all of a sudden, the lights were turned off for the specialty of the house, the master piece: Steamed veal head with gribiche sauce, carved in front of us then place onto a simple flat top, to warm it up a bit and make it a little crispy. Impressive!!!
We took this opportunity to be in Paris to enthronize our new China member who were definitely surprised by our organization. Terrific pictures were taken and tears were drawn from some of them. Memorable.
After all this excitement a beautiful group photo on the second deck was taken where all attendees participated. What can we say, nothing, we obliged and are still speechless about the adventure.
Thank you to the organizer for such a dream come true for our China member, who will probably never experience this again. Hopefully not!!!!
