For our monthly epicurean dinner in Shanghai, and after being amazed at POP last month, we are going to the Sofitel on Nanjing road, where Chef Sasha Hernaus was our host. Being a very experience Chef and having been in China for a long time, Chef Sasha created an incredible 5 course meal, in which French cheese was included. Probably a first timer on our epicurean dinner’s table. Everyone gathered at the entrance of the restaurant MOSAIC to mingle and share some French Champagne. 30 regular epicurean went onto a culinary discovery and were delighted by Chef Sasha creations. The food was well presented and very tasty enlightening the French roots of the Chef.
The dinner ended on a sweet note with a light chocolate mousse and kumquat with meringue.
Stay tuned for our next dinner which will be hosted by Chef Jeremy Biasiol from the Shangri-la Hotel in Pudong, where we will announce the Young Talent Escoffier winner who will represent his country at the Asia final in Hong Kong on September at the restaurant and bar show, as well as welcoming new Disciples Escoffier members.
