GASTRONOMIA: Bicol F&B Summit, an afternoon of reimagining Bicolano cuisine. Various culinary demonstrations and panel forums from some of today's finest chefs and F&B personalities within Bicol and Manila was held today, opening up the world of opportunities for the Bicolano audience of their rich culinary culture, exquisite local flavours and amazing local produce.

This year's powerhouse speakers and personalites were:

Adolf Aran Jr. is the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Bigg’s Diner and Que Pasa Naga. He is also the CEO of Courage Asia Management Consulting, a founding member of the Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement, and a member of the Slow Food Movement - Philippine Chapter.

Rica Buenaflor is a Davao native with Negros ancestry and a Bicolano heart. An advocate of heritage cooking and sustainability, she is one of the pioneers of the Best of Bicol movement, which aims to showcase the creative talents in different fields that Bicol has to offer. Among her business ventures in the food and retail industry is her participation in the food research and development of Que Pasa Naga.

Chef Jet Sumayao hails from Iriga, Camarines Sur. With over 9 years of experience in the culinary industry, he has worked with restaurants such as Vask Tapas Room, and Gaggan restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand. Currently, he is the executive chef of Que Pasa Naga.

Chef Robby Goco is the chef behind Cyma Greek restaurants, which was awarded Best Specialty Cuisine by Manila’s Best Kept Restaurant Secrets Awards last 2010 and and again in 2014. Chef Robby has also been cited as one of Entrepreneur Philippines Magazine’s “10 Outstanding Entrepreneurs of the Year” in 2008.

Chef Louise Mabulo is an award-winning chef, entrepreneur, and agricultural advocate. She established The Cacao Project, which aims to promote agriculture, fair trade, reforestation, while providing farmers with a sustainable high income livelihood. Currently, she runs her own farm and Culinary Lounge.

Chef Philip Golding is the founding President of the Philippine Chapter of the Ordre Internationale des Disciples Escoffier, a prestigious group of talented chefs from around the world known for safeguarding and passing on culinary traditions to young apprentices. Currently, he is the chef patron at Martin Place Social Restaurant in BGC.

GASTRONOMIA: Bicol F&B Summit is presented by the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in line with Bicol Business Month, in cooperation with Breville, in partnership with the City of Naga Government, Gaudensa Institute, Bigg's Diner, Que Pasa Naga, and Siama Hotel.
