The Institut Culinaire Disciples Escoffier in Hong Kong has presented the intermediate-level medals and certificates to the second batch of students who have successfully passed the level examination.
Judges at the examination included Chef Raphaël Kinimo, Chef de Cuisine of the Ritz-Carlton, Macau, Chef Daniel Birkner, Executive Chef of Zurriola, Chef Kévin Ibert, Executive Pastry Chef of Maison Eric Kayser as well as Ms. Pauline Wong, Centre Manager of the Towngas Cooking Centre and a recipient of the French Diploma of the institute.
At the award ceremony Chef Daniel encouraged the students to step beyond their comfort zone and not to be intimidated with the boldness of experiencing with seasoning.
Raymond was named the best student and received the trophy that he well deserved from Chef Vincent Leroux, President of the Disciples Escoffier in Hong Kong and the Director and Instructor of the institute.
Looking forward our students will be soon preparing for the more taxing challenges in their culinary journey in the next three months and the bar will be raised.
