Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Sahapoom Anuchatibud - better known as Bank - can speak six languages owing to his studies and employment in six foreign countries across four continents.
His journey into the food world began with his time at Geelong Grammar School; a boarding school in
Australia. There he enrolled in the International Baccalaureate secondary school diploma to study the topic of food science in chemistry classes.
San Francisco, USA - arguably the food capital of the West Coast - was where Bank's passion for food and beverages blossomed. From there he graduated from the University of San Francisco with a bachelor degree in Business Entrepreneurship and a minor in German.
After his time in California, Bank pursued his culinary dreams by enrolling in the Pastry Diploma Program at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit in his hometown, Bangkok - and went further by moving to France to study a master degree in wine business.
After his studies, he worked at a wine importer and distributor in Bern, Switzerland and later became the Food Specialist at the supermarket division of a luxury department store chain back in his motherland.
He currently works as the General Manager of the Macaron Pastry Training Center, which is founded by Chef Eric Perez in Bangkok, Thailand.
