Stefu Santoso is considered as one of the best chefs in Indonesia. Former President of Association of Culinary Professionals (Chef Association in Jakarta, registered in WACS), he is now the Executive Chef of APREZ Catering, AMUZ GOURMET Restaurant and Energy Café in Jakarta.
Grew up in Jakarta, Stefu began his culinary career in 1998, working in 4- & 5-stars International Hotels. The milestone of his career was when he started his career as a Commis at the 5-stars The Park Lane Hotel Jakarta (now Wyndham Casablanca Hotel) under the tutelage of the prominent Chef Gilles Marx. In 2009, Stefu was promoted to be the Executive Chef of The Park Lane Hotel Jakarta at the age of 33. Then two years later, he was asked by his former kitchenmate to run Aprez and Amuz, 2 restaurants founded by Chef Gilles Marx in 2011.
Chef Stefu is very popular in Indonesia and aboard for his achievements. He has crisscrossed the culinary TV show, and became Guest Chef on MasterChef Indonesia. He won several prestigious chef awards including “The Best Chef Overall” Trophy in Salon Culinaire Indonesia 2005 and the “World Top Outstanding Master Chef“ at World Top Gourmet Award 2019. He also involved as Indonesian Team Manager for Bocuse D'Or and brought the team to the world final in Lyon 2011, it was the first time for Indonesia to compete in this competition. Chef Stefu is often invited as a speaker, trainer or judge for various culinary events. He contributes his expertise to develop the culinary scene in Indonesia and support the young soon-to-be chefs.
