The Disciples Escoffier Young Talent Trophy (YTT) is one of the most important culinary competitions in Asia, held in 8 regions including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam, taking place between March and June this year. Winners of the national selections will compete at the Asia Final at the Restaurant and Bar Show in Hong Kong in September 2016.
YTT encourages training, leadership development and innovation of the top chefs below 25 years of age with less than five years of kitchen experience around the world while promoting the French cuisine and art de vivre. Winner of the Asia Final of the Young Talent Trophy will compete at the World Final in 2017 with culinary talents from all over the world.
Disciples Escoffier is a French association of top chefs encompassing more than 25,000 chefs in over 26 countries. Disciples Escoffier is dedicated to lauding a perpetual evolution of cooking and gastronomy. Over eight years YTT has discovered and trained a multitude of chef talents through apprenticeship with top chefs in Asia that prepares them for various competitions. Transfer of knowledge is one of the core values of the Disciples Escoffier.
